Physical activity, on a consistent basis, plays a huge role in a healthy lifestyle. Exercise has been found to: reduce stress, improve mood, control weight, reduce the risk for heart disease and some cancers, strengthen bones and muscles, improve the immune system, and lead to better sleep. Even with all the known benefits of exercise, sometimes life can get in the way and make planned exercise difficult. Current research indicates that small changes in physical activity over time can have a lasting effect. It isn't always about getting in an hour session at the gym, sometimes taking a break to clear your head at work while walking around the building can make lasting changes in our health. 

My movement philosophy is this: do exercise that you enjoy, enjoying the outdoors whenever possible, make the most of every opportunity to move that you have, and move outside your comfort zone for gains in strength and confidence.
